Support for People with Learning Disabilities

We can offer professional and caring support, nothing is too much trouble for the team, we are here to make your stay run as smoothly as possible.

Seren was established in 1996 with the main aim of offering professional support for people with learning disabilities and is by now highly regarded as one of the most innovative organisations in its field. It has, over the years, developed a package of projects and activities, all of which are aimed at enhancing the quality of life not only of the individuals with learning disabilities but their families. GWESTY SEREN is such a development where the aim is always to offer the same kind of facilities, support and holiday environment as for anyone else. The hotel was specifically designed with this in mind.

Staying with the Family

The whole idea behind the project was to offer an environment where the family can stay together. Many families want to holiday together and not be split up. Gwesty Seren can offer a support package whereby other members of the family may want to do something you do not. Don’t spoil the holiday – we can offer you the support you need to undertake other activities. Please contact us further for more information and price. As can be seen from our ‘Things to Do’ tab there is more than enough activities going on in the area that can appeal to a substantial cross section of people.

Staying on your Own

We can offer a specific package if you want to take a holiday break on your own. This can be a short, possibly weekend break, or a longer spell. In both instance we can offer a support package and a range of things to do. These include:

Entertainment at the hotel and activities like pool and darts
Activities on site such as art and crafts, gardening, woodworking and other similar pursuits
Visiting the various attractions or participating in some of the activities within our area
Entertainment provided by others such as cinema, concerts, live shows and so on
Availing yourself of unique services like Caernarfon’s Cycling Centre, where specially adapted bicycles are provided and support given to enjoy this healthy outdoor experience

Accredited Training Courses

We can also provide a number of residential accredited training courses such as arts/crafts, woodwork, gardening, life skills, performing arts, IT and administration and so on. Contact us further for more details.

Even the airy and light decoration of most of the building is a result of the desire to make the hotel as user friendly as possible

The whole concept is about making your family holiday as convenient as possible without having to struggle with awkward stairs, small corridors, steps and so on. Our aim is to ensure that the disabled and their families have the same opportunity to enjoy their holiday as any able bodied person.
